…one year…

There are certain milestones in life that have significance and are worth recognizing! For me, it was celebrating my first year anniversary on February 10th of writing for this website. My very first post was “Reality TV Inspiration.” The website was born from being inspired from watching The Bachelor which sparked an idea to reach out to people and help them to discover love for themselves instead of looking to others to dictate their value and worth. In this journey, I have grown as much as those have shared this journey with me. I have had the privilege of hearing your stories, your struggles, and your joys. The conversations that have been started with friends, family, and complete strangers affirm the need to continue to write. I have you to thank for sticking with me, for sharing these posts, and for challenging me to continue to grow in my faith and love for myself.

A lot can happen in a year. Looking back I can see how I have changed and grown a little bit more comfortable in my own skin, welcomed by golden birthday year, watched relationships change, grow, and start, traveled the world, deepened my faith, and experienced loss. It’s crazy how an hour, a day, a week, a month, and a year can change you. I’m not the same person that I was a year ago or an hour ago for that matter and it’s worth celebrating the milestones and life that has happened in that time. I am thankful for the people who I have met along the way that have helped shaped me into who I am today.

So thank you! Thank you for being a part of my journey, my life, and my growth. Without you I would not be who I am right now. I encourage you to please keep on reading, sharing your story with others, and loving yourself!

“I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 1:3-6

What are your milestones and celebrations for this past year?
